Abstract
In this chapter we are going to carry out similar calculations to those in Sects. 3.1 and 3.2, but this time we treat the electron as consisting of two spherical shells of charge, each of radius a, whose centers are separated by a distance d ≫ awhen the system is at rest in an inertial frame. Each charge shell contains a total charge q e /2, uniformly distributed over the shell.
