Zusammenfassung

Die Verletzung der thorakalen Aorta, deren Prognose trotz aller Fortschritte im Rettungswesen und der Notfallmedizin auch heutzutage noch sehr ungünstig ist, stellt eine vergleichsweise seltene Erkrankung im gefäßchirurgischen Alltag dar. Dabei wird die Diagnose und Therapie bei den eher jungen Patienten durch die oftmals dramatischen Begleitumstände beeinflusst und ein interdisziplinäres Vorgehen meistens erforderlich.
