Zusammenfassung
Gefäßverletzungen nehmen in der Gesamtzahl der rekonstruktiven Eingriffe nur einen geringen Prozentsatz ein [1, 3, 10]. Ihre Bedeutung liegt darin, sie nicht nur zu erkennen, sondern vielmehr sie nicht zu übersehen [15]. Häufig treten Gefäßverletzungen in Kombination mit anderen Verletzungen auf [8]. Hierbei kann zwischen arteriellen und venösen Verletzungen der Gefäße der Extremitäten, des Thorax und Abdomens, der Aorta oder der Viszeralorgane unterschieden werden [9]. Insbesondere venöse Verletzungen stellen ein diagnostisches Problem dar. Wichtig sind auch sog. verdeckte Gefäßverletzungen, die vor allem im Ellenbeugen- und Kniegelenksbereich auftreten können und häufig (insb. bei Polytraumen) erst verzögert diagnostiziert werden [13].
