Abstract

We gather here some applications of the FLST and the tree decomposition to image processing. All were published in the literature, and although they do not pretend to represent the state of the art in their respective domain, we hope they emphasize its versatility and convenience. In several instances, level lines provide a superior alternative for detection based on edges because of their linked structure and indepedence from parameters.
