Zusammenfassung

Die Gelenke und gelenknahen Schleimbeutel (Bursae) werden von Synovialis ausgekleidet, einer Membran, die an ihrer Oberfläche von desmalem Epithel bedeckt wird. Die synovialen Deckzellen ähneln morphologisch und funktionell dem Mesothel der serösen Häute.

Der Gelenkspalt enthält eine Gleitflüssigkeit, die Synovia. Häufige Ursachen von Gelenkergüssen sind Traumen und Entzündungen, seltene Ursachen sind Tumoren [6, 12] und Mikrofilarien [10].
