Das Kapitel behandelt die Pankreatitis, unterteilt in akute und chronische Pankreatitis. Die Pathologie wird ergänzt durch die Besprechung der Ätiologie, Pathogenese, Epidemiologie und Klinik. Die akute wie die chronische Pankreatitis werden in Subtypen wie die alkoholische, hereditäre, tropische, autoimmune und obstruktive Pankreatitis unterteilt.
