Zusammenfassung

Das Kapitel beschreibt den strukturellen Aufbau und die zentralen Funktionen der Leber. Hierbei werden wesentliche Aspekte von Zellorganellen, die unterschiedlichen Zelltypen und die Leberarchitektur behandelt, wobei die Zusammenhänge von Struktur und Funktion sowie deren Relevanz für pathophysiologische und morphologische Veränderungen bei Lebererkrankungen hervorgehoben werden.
