Abstract
In the second chapter, within the second-order quantum-mechanical perturbation theory, formulated are the many-particle quantum theory and the methods of calculation of the differential cross-section of the anomalous elastic scattering of an X-ray photon by an atom and an atomic ion near their inner-shell ionization thresholds. A general analytical structure of the form-factor of an atom with any ground-state term is stated. The effect of the many-electron correlations and nonsphericity of the absolute values and shapes of the form-factor of the spherical-symmetry approximation is studied. The absolute values and the shapes of the differential cross-sections of the anomalous elastic scattering cross-sections are calculated for set of particular atoms and atomic ions.
