Interventionelle Sonographie am Thorax

Zusammenfassung

Viele Krankheitsbilder im Bereich der Thoraxorgane können mit Anamnese, klinischem Befund und bildgebender Diagnostik ätiologisch eingeordnet werden. Eine aufwändige diagnostische „Kaskade“ durch Aneinanderreihung aller verfügbaren Methoden ist jedoch weder ökonomisch vertretbar noch medizinisch sinnvoll. Oft ist zur endgültigen Beurteilung zusätzlich eine biochemische, mikrobiologische, zytologische oder histologische Begutachtung erforderlich. Das hierfür benötigte Material kann durch eine gezielte Punktion gewonnen werden. Therapeutische interventionelle Maßnahmen können bei bestehender Indikation angeschlossen werden. Es sollte immer dasjenige interventionelle Verfahren zum Einsatz kommen, das schnellstmöglich und für den Patienten am wenigsten belastend zur sicheren Diagnose führt (▸ Übersicht).
