Zusammenfassung
In seinem Bedürfnis nach Sinn konstruiert sich der Mensch im Allgemeinen Begründungen für sein Erleben – bei einer spirituellen Grundhaltung können diese Erklärungen auch spirituell ausgestaltet werden. Eine besondere Ausgestaltung spiritueller Deutungen sind dämonische Erklärungen für psychische Probleme – dies mit höchst problematischen Folgeerscheinungen, von spiritueller Stigmatisierung bis hin zu traumatisierenden Ritualen. In der Seelsorge bzw. in der spirituellen Begleitung gibt es aber auch therapeutische Zugangsweisen, die sich eines spirituellen Vokabulars bzw. religiöser Metaphern bedienen, und diese in tröstender und heilender Form in das spirituelle Weltbild des Ratsuchenden integrieren können. Spirituelle Interventionen werden vom Einzelnen ganz unterschiedlich erlebt. Es wird diskutiert, welche Faktoren bestimmen, ob spirituelle Deutungen und Interventionen hilfreich oder problematisch sind.
