Zusammenfassung

Hier werden die morphologischen Veränderungen in peripheren Nerven bei folgenden Stoffwechselstörungen dargestellt: den verschiedenen Formen der diabetischen Neuropathie, bei Urämie, Lebererkrankungen, Hypothyreose und Hyperthyreose, Akromegalie und intensivmedizinischer Behandlung (Critical-illness-Polyneuropathie). Dabei gilt die diabetische Neuropathie neben der alkoholischen Polyneuropathie als die weitaus häufigste periphere Neuropathie.
