Zusammenfassung

Das Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit den Tumoren des neuroendokrinen Zellsystems im Gastrointestinaltrakt. Einleitend werden die Definition des neuroendokrinen Systems und die neue WHO-Klassifikation dieser Neoplasien besprochen und erläutert. Es folgt eine detaillierte lokalisationsbezogene Darstellung der Tumorentitäten, wobei auch der Ösophagus berücksichtigt wird. Den Abschluss bildet eine differentialdiagnostische Zusammenfassung der wichtigsten immunhistologischen Charakteristika dieser Tumoren.
