Abstract
In the past two decades, there have been some research area shifts in the field of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM). MCDM in computer science (CS) is one of the rising subtopical areas. This paper conducted a bibliographic study of MCDM literature, including 2171 research papers from 1989 to 2009. It summarized basic statistics about the longitudinal changes of MCDM in CS research activities. It also evaluated the distribution of subject areas within the MCDM in CS.
