Zusammenfassung
Manche mathematische Prinzipien, so wie die beiden im Titel dieses Kapitels, sind so offensichtlich, dass man denken könnte, sie würden nur ebenso offensichtliche Resultate nach sich ziehen. Um die Leser zu überzeugen, dass dies nicht immer der Fall sein muss, illustrieren wir diese Methoden mit einigen Beispielen, die laut Paul Erdős unbedingt in das BUCH aufgenommen werden sollten. Wir begegnen diesen Methoden aber auch in anderen Kapiteln.
