Abstract
Cappadocia is located within central Anatolia between the cities of Nevşehir, Kayseri and Niğde. Three volcanoes on the Nevşehir plateau, Mount Erciyes (3,917 m), Mount Hasan and a smaller mountain named Güllüdağ had formed this territory by frequent and continual eruptions and earthquakes for thousands of years in the Tertiary period.
