Abstract
The salt in Manzalesti is localized in the Vrancea hilly region, within the East Carpathians Bend, north of the town of Buzau.
The Manzalesti zone, where the salt massif bearing the same name outcrops, is situated in the Magiresti–Perchiu Digitation, the innermost tectonic unit of the Subcarpathian Nappe (Săndulescu et al., 1980; Săndulescu, 1984).
