Mit der Sinnesphysiologie geraten wir in eine Sphäre, die nicht nur aufregend ist dank der erstaunlichen Leistungen menschlicher und tierischer Sinne, sondern auch dank des viel diskutierten, vielleicht nie lösbaren Rätsels, wie denn unsere subjektive, mentale Erlebniswelt entsteht. Wir treten ein in den Grenzbereich von „Leib und Seele“.
