Zusammenfassung
Körperliche Belastung bedarf der koordinierten physiologischen Interaktion des kardiovaskulären und des respiratorischen Systems, um den Energiebedarf des arbeitenden Muskels zu decken. Der externe Gasaustausch mit O2-Aufnahme und CO2-Abgabe erfolgt in der Lunge, der interne Gasaustausch zur Energiegewinnung im arbeitenden Muskel. Die Transportfunktion zwischen beiden Systemen wird vom Herz-Kreislauf-System übernommen. Wegen dieses engen Zusammenspiels der Systeme können einerseits Erkrankungen des Herzens sowohl Veränderungen des Gasaustauschs als auch der Ventilation verursachen, andererseits können pulmonale Erkrankungen sekundär Veränderungen im Herz-Kreislauf-System hervorrufen.
