This volume of papers was put together by the Editors after a successful workshop that was held in the University of Cambridge in April 2007, partly sponsored by the UK-US ITA project. The goal of the workshop (and hence the purpose of this publication) was to bring together ideas from the natural world and problems in the area of wireless networks.
