Abstract

The atrioventricular synchronization is a crucial factor in cardiac pacing. The two measurement methods of cardiac output (CO): echocardiography and Penaz plethysmography were applied in our study. The results of our study suggest that the plethysmographic method assessed in prone position is the most convenient for optimization of atrioventricular delay (AV) in clinical practice. The results also show the strong need of optimization of AV for each respective patient.
