Wie bei kaum einer anderen Operation steht bei Eingriffen am Herzen die Herz-Kreislauf-Funktion im Mittelpunkt aller Überwachungsmaßnahmen. Zur Überwachung ist ein invasives Vorgehen erforderlich, v.a. weil die Patienten häufig schwer krank sind und zudem bei der Narkoseeinleitung sowie intraoperativ und nach dem Eingriff erhebliche Störungen der Herz-Kreislauf-Funktion auftreten können. In ⊡ Tabelle 3-1 sind die wichtigsten Herz-Kreislauf-Parameter für Herzoperationen zusammengefasst.
