Zusammenfassung

Posttraumatische Belastungsstörungen sind über lange Zeit nicht spezifisch erkannt und wirksamen Therapieformen zugeführt worden. Erst seit den letzten 20 Jahren entwickelte sich eine breite Wissensbasis über wirksame Therapieansätze. In den folgenden Abschnitten werden systematische Gesichtspunkte zu den wichtigsten psychotherapeutischen Interventionen dargelegt. Eine Zusammenfassung zur empirischen Wirksamkeitsforschung schließt sich an. Der Kenntnisstand zur medikamentösen Therapie wird in ▸ Kap. 16 beschrieben. Die genaue Darstellung der psychotherapeutischen Vorgehensweisen erfolgt in den Kapiteln zu einzelnen Therapiemethoden und zu den spezifischen Traumagruppen. Dieses Kapitel soll Praktikern eine Orientierung dafür geben, welche Therapieformen für welche Patienten geeignet sind.
