Zusammenfassung

Gestationsdiabetes (GDM) ist defi niert als eine erstmals in der Schwangerschaft diagnostizierte Glukosetoleranz-Störung (ICD-10 German version: O24.4). Die Diagnosestellung ist nur mit einem gezielten Screening, das den Glukosetoleranz- Test einschließt, möglich, da der GDM keine Beschwerden verursacht. Leider ist ein Blutzucker-Testverfahren bislang noch kein verbindlicher Bestandteil der Mutterschaft svorsorge in Deutschland geworden, sondern bleibt für anamnestisch unauff ällige Schwangere ein sogenanntes IGeL-Angebot.
