Abstract
Radiotherapy is the use of ionizing radiation to treat malignant disease. Generally radiotherapy has a diminishing role in the treatment of childhood cancers due to very effective chemotherapy regimens and also the recognition of the late effects of radiotherapy, which is of particular significance to the pediatric patient still in the process of growth and development.
