Abstract
The way of teaching history and foreign languages, at high school level, is changing rapidly. New needs for educational material arise from these changes. The technological development because of its effects on teaching practices as well as on the methodology of learning and teaching can be of great support to confront these needs. In this paper we present some of the issues related to the changes mentioned above we focus on the role of the new virtual learning environments towards this direction and the students and teachers perceptions and evaluation about this teaching approach.
