Abstract

The aim of this work is to present a new semantic structure of knowledge representation for textual fields. The purpose of this structure is to allow us to handle this kind of textual fields as the rest of the fields in the database in processes such as OLAP, datawarehousing, semantic querying, etc. The architecture of the system is described in the work as well as a detailed description of the mathematical formalism of the structure. The mechanism to carry out the transformation is given together with an experimental example with a medical database.
