Summary
Induction times τ obtained in the shock initiated H2-O2 reaction were studied by observing the growth of O-atoms and were discussed by comparing formerly reported τ based on OH-radicals from a different laboratory. Conclusion is that the dependences of τ on reactants as well as buffer gas are not simple, as was expected, and the reaction proceed in a very complex way from very initial stages of reaction.
