Abstract

We present a novel global algorithm for parallel computers, suitable to solve nonlinear boundary value problems depending on one parameter. The existing scanning and solution following algorithms are extended by a gradient method which is performed on an artificial potential created from the equation system. All three components of the algorithm can be parallelized and thus used in a GRID network. We validate our algorithms on a few small examples.
