Abstract
Die Mathematik stellt Theorien und Verfahren zur Lösung konkreter ökonomischer Problemstellungen bereit. Ein Beispiel hierfür aus der Gruppe Deutsche Börse ist im Rahmen des Risiko Managements die Problemstellung, das Verlustpotenzial (Risiko) zu quantifizieren, dem die Gruppe im Rahmen ihrer Geschäftstätigkeit ausgesetzt ist.
