Abstract
Section 4.1 has an overview of the topology of the test domain and its environmental factors. The mainframe remains the foundation of the IT infrastructure based on a multi-tier architecture inside a complex network. Service-oriented solutions need to be tested in this multi-layered domain.
Section 4.2. Understanding data and time aspects paves the way to (a more) successful testing. This section covers master data management, test data management, business rules management, bi-temporality, and timing problems.
Section 4.3 analyzes the characteristics of table-driven systems, table technology, and what must be known in testing TDS
Section 4.4 explains critical technical parameters.
