Zusammenfassung
Aldehyde und Ketone sind primäre Oxidationsprodukte der Alkohole. Sie haben die Carbonylgruppe gemeinsam. Bei einem Aldehyd trägt das C-Atom dieser Gruppe ein H-Atom und ist mit einem zweiten C-Atom verbunden (Aldehyd = Al cohol dehyd rogenatus). Beim Keton ist das Carbonyl-C-Atom mit zwei weiteren C-Atomen verknüpft. (Beachte: Ein Lacton ist kein Keton!)
