After having discussed the elements of software product management and pricing in detail in chapters 4 and 5, this chapter deals with the organizational aspects of vendor organizations as well as of corporate IT organizations. In 6.1 and 6.2, we look at how software product management and pricing, respectively, cooperate with other units of a company. 6.3 covers the integration of software product management and pricing into the organizational structure. In 6.4 we discuss the different priorities and the implementation alternatives of software product management and pricing dependent on the type of company and product set.
