Part of the book series: Eso Astrophysics Symposia ((ESO))

Abstract

We report on far-ultraviolet observations of comet 9P/Tempel 1 during the epoch of Deep Impact made from the Hubble Space Telescope and the ALICE instrument aboard the Rosetta spacecraft. The far-ultraviolet channel on Galaxy Evolution Explorer was not operational at the time of the observations but wide-field imaging spectroscopy at longer UV wavelengths (2200–3200 \AA) was obtained.
