Abstract

Because of its tiny output signal the (low-output) Moving Coil cartridge (MC) forces the design engineer to develop extremely low-noise input sections of phono-amps. Two very different examples for input sections are discussed in this chapter: the transformer and the BJT driven input. Details on circuitry as well as on mathematical approaches are given.
