Capturing Infinitely Sharp Discrete Shock Profiles with the Godunov Scheme

We show how to generate infinitely sharp discrete shock profiles with the Godunov method. This work is a first step toward the computation of nonclassical solutions associated with systems having at least one nongenuinely nonlinear nor linearly degenerate characteristic field.
