Auszug
Das jüngere Eintritts alter von Patienten in die Primärversorgung zieht bei begrenzter Haltbarkeit künstlicher Hüftgelenke zwangsläufig die Zunahme aseptischer Lockerungen nach sich. Verbunden mit einem insgesamt höheren Lebensalter ist künftig auch mit zunehmenden Re-Revisionen zu rechnen. Unter den Ursachen für aseptische Lockerungen sind Fremdkörperreaktionen auf Polyethylenabrieb [1] aber auch zerrütteter Zement hervorzuheben [2]. Vor diesem Hintergrund findet Scit langem eine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit den verwendeten Werkstoffen statt.
