SS7 over IP Signalling Network Architectures

In the last chapter it is described how SS 7 signalling messages may be transported over IP networks. In order to support the different applications, SCN adaptation modules are specified, which use the SCTP for their different purposes. In this chapter we discuss how the high availability and performance requirements for the SS 7 signalling message transport, described in Sect. 4.2, may be provided in the IP domain.
