Auszug
»Any cause of axonal attrition and death may result in increased optic disc cupping. Increased cupping caused by compression, ischemic infarction, inflammation, or trauma is soften accompanied by pallor of the neuroretinal rim. The myopic optic disc may appear glaucomatous. Myopic discs should always be suspected of being glaucomatous.« (T.C. Spoor, 1992)
