Abstract
When thinking about renewable energies, wind, solar and hydro energy typically come to mind. To tackle climate change and all the challenges imposed by the need to find alternative and reliable energy sources, there is one major resource that has remained untapped until now: wave energy. Its potential has been recog-nised for long, and mostly associated with a destructive nature. No solution has yet been found to harness it. Or has it? This book will show the reader not only the principles of wave energy conversion but also (several) technological solutions to solve the problem, some which are now in a pre-commercial stage.
