Abstract
MapGuide Open Source is a modern Web-based geospatial platform. This chapter provides an introduction to the MapGuide Open Source project, the MapGuide software components, a brief introduction to creating applications with MapGuide, and concludes with a brief discussion of what the future of this project may hold.
