Abstract
In all types of hybrid vehicles, a supervisory controller must determine how to operate the single power paths, in order to satisfy the power demand of the drive line in the most convenient way. The main objective of that optimization is the reduction of the overall energy use, usually in the presence of various constraints due to driveability requirements and the characteristics of the components.
