Abstract
Transfer processes and balances of the transport parameters are essential for any engineering design process as well as physical or chemical calculations. Beginning with simple atomic encounters from statistical mechanics, macroscopic balance equations and transport properties are derived for the following chapters. Furthermore, the toolbox of engineering calculation methods is presented as an orientation and introduction to limits and opportunities.
