Abstract

As sensor-related technologies have improved, ubiquitous services which give convenience to people using them are increasing more and more. It is necessary to make service developer’s best endeavors to provide these services. In this paper, we propose a novel XML-based sensor data stream processing middleware called UbiCore (Ubiquitous Core) which helps service developer to make ubiquitous service easily. UbiCore manages scattered diverse sensors, collects data from sensors, processes collected sensor data, and automatically delivers the processed results to the related back-end applications. We can save the developing cost of ubiquitous service by using the proposed middleware.
