Abstract
A wireless communication link from a transmitter with multiple antennas to multiple receivers, which are decentralized and cannot cooperate, is a (vector) broadcast channel (BC) from the point of view of information theory. Such a point-to-multipoint scenario is also referred to as downlink in a cellular wireless communication system (Figure 4.1).
