Abstract

Once the main damage to the clinic and institutes had been repaired five years after the war, thoughts were given to the future of the medical faculty, whether the building activity should be of a repair and interim nature or whether long-term solutions should be sought. Unclear was also whether the entire medical faculty should be located on the site of the old hospital on the left bank of the River Isar or in its vicinity. Neither had a plan from the thirties been forgotten, to move the university clinics out of the inner city to the outskirts.
