Abstract

Recently there has been significant interest in the use of peer-to-peer technologies for deploying large-scale live media streaming systems over the Internet. In this position paper, we first give a brief survey on the state-of-the-art of peer-to-peer streaming technologies, and then summarize and discuss some major challenges and opportunities in this research area for future directions.
