Abstract
This chapter introduces the formal concepts that we use in the rest of the book. Section 2.2 describes the elements of the non-cooperative game theory. Section 2.3 describes the elements of the mathematical theory of networks. Section 2.4 describes the basic concepts and results of the theory of Markov chains.
