Zusammenfassung

Die Tumoren mit skelettmuskulärer Differenzierung sind selten. In die Gruppe der benignen Tumoren wird in diesem Kapitel das kardiale Rhabdomyom nicht aufgenommen, da es sich um einen Tumor des Herzens handelt. Das embryonale und alveoläre Rhabdomyosarkom manifestieren sich überwiegend bei Kindern und werden daher im Kapitel der Tumoren des Kindesalters vorgestellt. Pleomorphe Rhabdomyosarkome werden heutzutage häufiger diagnostiziert, im wesentlichen als Folge einer ausgefeilten sensitiven und spezifischen immunhistochemischen Analytik. Das pleomorphe Rhabdomyosarkom gehört zu den aggressivsten pleomorphen Sarkomen des Erwachsenenalters.
