Die Antibiotikaverordnungen sind gegenüber dem Vorjahr leicht zurückgegangen. Vor allem Makrolidantibiotika sind nach einem Anstieg im Vorjahr wieder weniger verordnet worden. Betalactamantibiotika, Tetracycline und Makrolide bleiben die wichtigsten im niedergelassenen Bereich verordneten Substanzgruppen. Amoxicillin war wie bisher auch 2006 das am häufigsten verordnete Antibiotikum, Doxycyclin war das am zweithäufigsten verordnete Antibiotikum. Der in früheren Jahren beobachtete Trend zur zunehmenden Verordnung von neueren Fluorchinolonen, vor allem Moxifloxacin, hat sich nicht weiter fortgesetzt. Es gab wenig Neueinführungen.
