Die Dopplersonographie in der Gynäkologie ist eine wertvolle Zusatzuntersuchung zur Beurteilung physiologischerund pathologischer Bedingungen im weiblichen Becken. Obwohl seit den 1980er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts daran gearbeitet wird, hat der gynäkologische Doppier im Vergleich zum geburtshilflichen Doppier — aufgrund unterschiedlicher Ursachen — bei Weitem noch nicht den Stellenwert in der Diagnose und im Management der gynäkologischen Erkrankungen erreicht. Die Dopplersonographie ist bei vielen gynäkologischen Erkrankungen ein Mosaikstein im Abklärungsschema einer gynä-kologischen Erkrankung. In den seltensten Fällen ist sieder Schlüssel bzw. allein ausschlaggebend zur Diagnose. Mit den Grundlagen des Generierens reproduzierbarerdopplersonographischer Signale sowie mit den Ursachen möglicher Fehlerquellen in der Beurteilung dieser Unter-suchung beschäftigt sich dieses Kapitel.
